To help you understand why these courses would be good for you, here are a few of the comments that we have had from our students so far regarding different aspects of our courses and training facilities.
What did you think of the facilities during your training course?
Facilities were very good, room always clean, schedule laid out very well, including days off in-between or at weekends, which allowed me to analyse the information and practise techniques; but also allowed me time for the information to become logical in my mind and therefore I gained a better understanding from my training.
Booklet really informative and helpful while learning techniques – with enough space to make your own notes as well. Schedule was demanding – but it needs to be, I found it to be very challenging and ‘full on’ but really enjoyable.
Rooms were lovely to work in – I found I really concentrated in them as they were so simple. Rooms were very good; ambience was very relaxing yet welcoming for learning work. Very good choice of video and reading materials and wonderful music. The facilities were clean comfortable and really comply with the whole concept of Pure Massage,
Could you please give comments on your training regarding the teachers and the teaching process?
The teaching was very effective, especially writing notes and points on sheets on the wall – it made sure that no area was misunderstood and that it was very easy to understand and piece together all areas of the training. Beata is a very good teacher, she approaches teaching in a different way than I was used to, and I found it more effective. She is very easy to listen to and explains herself with patience and has such a passion and understanding of massage that it is just fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed the teaching process as it was more practical based, which is how I prefer to learn, than theoretical which is how this subject has previously been taught to me. I really enjoyed the variation of activities from meditation through to the practical massage.
The whole teaching process was quite intense but stimulating and very beneficial. It was difficult at times when we had to overcome our personal complexes and inner fears, but thanks to the teaching of Beata who is assertive, challenging yet very warm and supportive we managed to break through the challenges, assimilating a huge amount of information in a short time and left with the knowledge we needed to apply this to our massage careers as well as our daily lives.
Could you describe what you learned from this course?
I learned to become more aware of every aspect of my body, breathing, movement, eating, exercise and how to communicate. It has given me a whole new outlook on massage; and brought massage to a completely different level for me. I also learned to become more aware of life, how important it is to enjoy every day and to do everything to the best of my ability; overall I am a much happier person after this course.
Indeed during this course I learnt a lot about myself and massage! It’s impossible to mention every discovery, but the most important probably was the realisation of how much inter-relationships in there between ourselves, the way we do massage and the outside world mutually effect each other I also learnt how to give (in this case massage) without burning myself out and imposing anything on the client. The 12 principles are EXTREMELY USEFUL, not only in massage but also in everyday life!
The theoretical side of the training was very familiar to me and re-enforced why I really wanted to be a massage therapist. As for the Pure Massage techniques it is really like starting from scratch! It is difficult but I have learnt a lot of new techniques, and massage is now for me a much more fulfilling experience/ I also learned techniques to look after myself while giving a massage, which is not really present in most other courses I’ve done. Discipline, precision, professionalism, humanism and fun are all there.
I have learnt a huge amount and in particular a sense of order to my massages. Also better ways of using my body weight without stressing my thumbs and wrists. I also learnt there is more to massage than just an anatomical treatment – but to treat the body deeper and more completely. I feel that Beata knows me better than I know myself! And I have learnt to be more confident and to believe in myself. It is important to put your all into everything to ensure you make the most out of life.
Did this training reach you objectives?
Definitely and more! I had a very good feeling about the place and about Beata, but didn’t expect it to be so amazing! It is very rewarding for me to finally find people who are on the same level.
This training is much more than a massage course – it is much deeper. I found it much more holistic then other courses claiming to teach ‘holistic’ massage!
It went beyond my objectives; I only considered techniques and expected to find similarities with my previous trainings. This training covered much much more and opened a door to many other subjects involving massage for us to discover.
Basically I really didn’t know what to expect when I began the training, so I went in blind. But what I have learnt, experienced and gained personally over the course of the training – I cant even begin to imagine how fulfilled my life will be after putting it all into practise! Thank you.
Yes and much more. I thought it would be easier and we would just be shown a routine but it was not like this, it went far deeper. It was a challenge both physically and mentally and I feel that I have learnt so much about myself that I cannot really explain but am looking forward to exploring in the future.
